For New Years Eve we decided that a little fondue was in order. The kids had a blast, even if it took forever to eat. And even if The Boy struggled with the messiness of it all. He usually likes a clean eating experience. To his standards anyway.
We had cheese and marinara for dinner. With bread, meatballs, ham, roast beef, cauliflower and zucchini for dipping. Then for dessert had chocolate and caramel. With rice Krispy's. Which were surprisingly quite fabulous dipped in caramel. Although what isn’t fabulous dipped in caramel. Marshmallows, strawberries, bananas and apples for dipping.
Then we stayed up late to ring in the new year. I thought one or two of the kids would crash but all three of them stayed strong and wired until we finally came home and got them to bed. At midnight we went outside with Granny’s noisemakers to make lots of noise. It was a fun party. I enjoyed the nap the next day.
