The Ice Cream Story

Ice cream is big at our house. Any chance we get we have ice cream. Everyone behaves when there is ice cream involved. After one of our adventures we stopped to get ice cream on the way home. It is getting to be so warm outside that it was the perfect treat to cool everyone off and move us all further away from the "meltdown line." Some of us were nearing it more than others.

At first they weren't too thrilled about more pictures being taken. Someday they'll thank me for always shoving the camera in their faces. I'm sure of it. Surely someday someone will thank me for something.

Not thrilled at all about my presence.

The eventually got over it. The call to eat ice cream was greater than their current distaste of the camera.

Wow! We're even offering to share the precious ice cream. This is working better than I thought! Maybe we should do ice cream more often.

Even she was able to move on. Those kinds of things don't ever go unnoticed.

As he nears completion there is always a twinge of sadness. That ice cream never lasts, it's always over so quickly.
But he will enjoy it until the end. Every. Last. Drop.

Even still, there is always a moment of surprise when it is all actually gone. Not one more drop to be licked from the bowl. This is the end. There isn't any more.
The End.
