The Centennial State Part I Can’t Remember

While we were in Colorado we spent a day at Grand Lake.

And while we were at the lake we spent an hour on a pontoon boat.

It was peaceful. It was relaxing. It was  a fabulous hour.

This person, in particular, loved every minute.

That one in the middle, did not.

Here’s how it went for him. We started going. He was fine.

We had some snacks. He found a security towel. Just okay.

People started getting up and walking about and *gasp* jumping in the water. He tried his best to lay down his the law. He wasn’t very successful.

He found another security towel.

It was pretty much over after that.

Until the announcement came that we were going back, the boat ride was ending.

The rest of us, though, had a lovely time.

We were missing David, since he would have loved it.

Although he would have thrown the kids in the water, had he been there, so maybe it was better for my mental health that he wasn’t.

Although she wouldn’t have cared if she was thrown in.

The daredevil that she is.

And while others took the plunge into the freezing cold.

I stayed dry.

After the boat ride we made our way to the beach for some play.

Sand is this girls element.

And if that’s true than being cold is this boy’s.

Sometime I’ll tell you about the time The Boy single handedly brought these two Uncles down.

That, however, will have to be for another day.

I can't get enough of the faces...all of them. And please don't keep us in suspense too long. I must hear the uncle story!
