School Girl

When it comes to school this girl is about as serious as it gets.

And it starts with the bus showing up. I’m lucky to get a backwards hand wave.

If I’m really lucky she’ll wave to me once she’s on the bus.

Today her dad and I visited her at school for “walk a mile” day.

She showed pity and held our hands.

She does relish those lets-pretend-I’m-an-only-child moments.

Of course once we were back in the classroom we were quickly forgotten and it was back to business as usual.

No one can say she doesn’t take her studies seriously!
