The Birthday Day

The day is done, we've said goodnight. She's one alright.
Its been a good day. We went grocery shopping in the morning with Granny. Picked The Boy up from school then went and had lunch with dad. A lovely nap (for her, not the rest of us sadly). Then Granny and Pap came over for dinner, cupcakes and presents.

I thought I would give you a little rundown in pictures.

Good morning sunshine! New pajamas brought to us by Susu. In which she looks too cute for words. And very grown up.

She got to play with the big kids on the front porch. The labyrinth for toys.

After dinner we had cupcakes (a sad cupcake story will follow in a few days). She thought the frosting was quite interesting. A very nice medium for spreading around.

She grabbed it with both hands, at one point, and we really thought she was going to dive right in. Then her dad let out a cheer and ruined it for her. For that he gets "the look."

Unfortunately then her dad got to her and smeared the cupcake all over her face. Poor girl. Poor messy girl.

Dad gets "the look" again for that one. Notice mom never gets the look.

Then who has a better brother and sister? Miss Thing, on her own, ran and got a rag to start cleaning her off. The Boy did his part by taking his finger to the frosting on her hair, her hands, wherever really, and disposed of it in his own way. (His fingers are in his mouth, need I say more?)

She got lots of fun things. Lots of fun clothes from grandmas and aunts. The thing that won out was the tissue paper, of course.
