The Before Picture

This week at school Miss Thing decorated a gingerbread house. She was thrilled beyond belief to bring it home today.

She also couldn’t keep her hands off it. The idea of saving it to show Dad, or even Granny, was not enough to simply sit and admire.

So this is Mr. Gingerbread House’s before picture. By the time he had been home an hour he didn’t look quite so happy.

He’ll live on in our memory.
