Special Exposure Wednesday

I usually have my camera with me wherever I go. I don't typically take it to church, but on Sunday as I was driving home I really wished I had it. The trees were amazing with brilliant orange and yellows. I may have to keep it in my Sunday bag from now on. Having said this, last weekend as we traveled to Omaha I realized that I had forgotten my camera. It was so sad to be without it, I felt so lost. I stopped at the store and grabbed a couple of disposable cameras, to try to make up for my loss. It wasn't the same. I longed for the familiarity of my little silver number. (I think I may have to name her, Amy can you help me with that one?) I know every button and every switch. When I got home it was a happy reunion.
And yet, I did not want the disposables to go to waste. So I turned them over to The Boy and Miss Thing. Back and forth we went, taking turns pushing the button. The Boy was ALL over it. He held it up to his face, waited until the right moment and then pushed the button. Miss Thing would kind of keep it at her waist and push away. It was great fun. I took them to the store the other day to be developed and waited with anticipation to see what would come back to us. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Don't get me wrong we had a number of the blinds, the table, the deck, the sidewalk etc. but there were some good ones in there and more than I expected. We may have to do this again! I think next time they might have to each have their own camera, as I'm not sure who took each one, I can guess though! Enjoy!

Here is The Boy's excellent work...

And here is Miss Thing's fancy work...

There were a couple of good ones of you. Better shots then the ones their dad takes! lol! As for a name... the first name that popped into my head was Sally. Don't know if that is any good or not, but it's a start. I can't believe that we didn't think of this sooner.

Those are some great shots! What a great idea to let the kids be the photographers for a change. Thanks for sharing!
