Domestic Diva (kind of)
We have been getting lots of apples lately (thanks Mother!) and the other day I made some applesauce and thought I would "document" it. I have learned in the past month and half or so of this blogging business that you can really blog about anything and everything. It is all fair game! Today I got even more apples so I'm going to try drying some next (any more ideas are more than welcome!) So here goes, enjoy...
Step 1. Chop apples
Step 2. Add a little water and boil on low-medium heat until super yummy smelling and really soft
3. Mash, mash, mash. (So I cheated after a while of this and got out my immersion blender, which worked beautifully)
4. Enjoy! (Cinnamon sticks and extra apples aren't necessary for this part.)

Just a little nerdy... but I love it! I made some really yummy potatoes tonight, I wish I would have taken pictures during the process.
Not nerdy. Practical. I loved when I canned fruit. It was so satisfying to see all the jars lined up and hear them sing (pop) as they cooled. It was very rewarding.
Your applesauce is beautiful! We once had a RS lesson on being prepared and the teacher brought in three different foods she'd canned and set them up with other pretty stuff and it was beautiful! All purples and pinks - not sure what was in there but it looked great! So good work on doing what Elder Uchdorf said in the RS Broadcast- you CREATED SOMETHING!
