That pretty much sums up our day on Monday.
The Birthday day.
Some time a few days before the big day it came to me to make it an orange day. Since orange is kind of his thing. In case you didn’t know. I tried throwing in as much orange as possible and pointed out all the orange I could in the day. From the orangey sunrise in the morning to the orange jello with dinner.
I’d say it was an orange success. And a totally awesome way to do a birthday.
If I do say so myself.
After The Boy and I took in the lovely orange sunrise I set to work on making him some orange pancakes.
With oranges.
In the morning LM took in a snack to his class to surprise him.
Can you guess what it was?
He was thrilled. And I was thrilled that I thought of it.
1000 times easier than making cupcakes.
Just sayin’
After school he got to skype with a certain SuSu. Did homework then got ready for dinner.
For dinner we had chicken and potato wedges and orange jello, with some orange soda.
Then it was time for presents.
Are you ready, Boy?
He got some great additions to his orange wardrobe.
I think he’s pleased.
Finally it was time for cake and ice cream.
I made an orange cake, with candy orange slices on top. Of course.
Saying/signing “orange”
We ate it with vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet. Of course.
Sister couldn’t not help. It’s what we do. We’re helpers.
Then afterwards I made everyone gather for more pictures. We do that too.
Like I said it was an orange-a-licious day!
