Twas The Night Before Christmas...

When all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a...beep! We don't use that kind of language :)
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
Or layed out on the couch, since there is no chimney here
In hopes that St. Nicolas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap
Had just settled down for a long winters' nap,
Nap is right! By the time we closed down Santa's Workshop, and considering the time (0 dark thirty) that the kids wake up...yup nap sums is up!

So, for the first time in our married life we were able to have Christmas at our house. I loved every minute of it. Before we went to bed and surveyed the seen David said to me "So, this is what Christmas looks like at our house." The next morning amidst the wrapping paper and the yummy brunch that's when I said "No, this is what Christmas looks like."

Miss Thing, among other things, got three little snuggle cabbage patch kids. Once all three where opened she did a little stomp-her-feet-dance-of-joy, very funny. The Boy went straight for the cars and held them up for all to see and then did a cheer for all to hear. Little Miss was passed around and then decided to pass out.

It was a perfect day!

I like your version of the poem. Very cute! I especially like the picture of Little Miss at the end.
