Today my big sister, Amy, is on her way to visit us. If you had told us twenty years ago that there would come a time when we would be excited to see each other I'm sure you would have recieved many looks of disgust. Fortunately that time has passed and she is no longer embarrassed by most of my actions (see above) nor does she tell me what to do all of the time (just some of the time). Not that we didn't get along (most of the time) when we were younger, but let's face it I am 5 years younger and from the age of 12 or so on I was very uncool. What's worse was our mother loved to dress us alike, something that I thought nothing of which only seemed to make me more uncool.
The experiences our family has gone through in the past month has given me many opportunities to contemplate sibling relationships. Not only my sibling relationships but also those of my children. I often wonder, will Ruth and Mary be as excited to spend a week together in twenty years? I hope so.

This made me think of something said many times through the years. Friends come and go but families are forever. I'm glad it is that way!! Love you all. Mom
I chat with Amy on another blog and she posted a link to yours. I have to say you have a beautiful family. I hope you don't mind a stranger spying on you! You can spy on me! God bless you and your family.
