As we’ve packed up one house and moved it all to another there have been a few things I’ve had to live without. Some in the old house. Some in the new. Some in between.
Now these things aren’t always necessary for survival. I’ve proved that I can indeed live without them. And, really, they’re just things.
Even so they do make life easier. And because of that I hope I never forget to be grateful for them.
So here’s the stuff that I’ve lived without and hope that I never forget to be grateful for.
- A garbage disposal
- A dishwasher
- A garage with which to park my car in
- A dryer
- A functioning bathroom sink
- My camera
- Enough functioning vehicles for our needs
- Beds for my kids (well The Boy at least)
- Pipes that don’t leak
- Enough bedrooms for our needs
- An air conditioner that works
- A place for my sewing machine
- A place to call home
And yet with all these things I am reminded again just how much I have. All the “things” and everything else. All of which I hope I never forget to be grateful for!
