Glasses.
It’s taken a couple of months to get us here. But here we are. Unlike all of us she is far sighted. She can see far but not near. I heard about these frames and luckily found a doctors office that was willing to order them so our insurance would cover them. They let me pick the style and color (click here to see all the choices).
We went to pick them up yesterday (they actually came in the other day but we were in the middle of a snow storm so I opted out of getting them that day). When the lady put them on her and put the mirror in front of her she was all smiles and cuteness. She had all those ladies eating out of her hand. It was insane really. Then waved goodbye when it was time to go, hardly bringing a hand to her newest accessory.
That all changed of course as soon as we got out to the car. She wasn’t so much into them. I had hopes that it would be different but that was not to be. I tried to get her to wear them again once we got home. No go. So I decided, since it’s the close stuff she can’t see so well, that we’ll use eating time for glasses time. This is going to be quite a process. I can tell already.
I think this is a better reflection of how she felt about the entire exercise. Too bad, is what I say, too bad chicky.
Also coming soon…
What a week. What. A. Week.
