Easter Fun

Easter Sunday was a lovley Sunday at our house. After a little bit of a sleep in I got up and made brunch. We watched the two sessions of Conference then headed over to David's parents for dinner and some Easter fun.
For Easter baskets I decided to forgo the picture taking opportunity and put the baskets in the kids' room for them to wake up to. Of course they didn't notice them and David had to "point" them out. But they were thrilled and couldn't wait to show me their treasures when I got up.
For "the hunt" I filled way too many eggs (about 20 too many, according to David) and after dinner (since the weather was lovely) David headed outside to "hide" all the eggs. When it was good and time David had them line up at the fence. Then. Ready. Set. Go.

The big kids went crazy. Finding eggs here and there.

Little Miss did a lovely job of supervising.

Eventually the baskets got too full for carrying so they were parked.

They'd find their eggs then deliver them to their baskets. When stuff started falling out they would take their stuff to Little Miss's basket.

Maybe next year she'll be able to pull her own weight.

Surprisingly I don't think I've ever bought these plastic eggs. I've just collected a lot. And in that collection is one golden egg. I decided to put money in this one. Since the big kids have discovered it. They know that they like it just don't know why they like it.

Somehow this particular egg kept going undetected. They kept running back and forth by it.

Finally it had to be gently pointed out.

Then began the photo shoot. It was slighly rediculous the amount of pictures I've been sorting through. But fun for me just the same.

 Happy Easter, from the Easterling's!

Be happy
