Monday Musings

• It’s February!
• Happy Birthday yesterday to my Mother. I did tell her that yesterday but felt like telling her again today.
• I’m feeling the need to do some Valentines decorating. Nothing too much considering it would take me weeks to take down but just a little something.
• I also have two monstrously messy closets that need some attention
• So hard to choose decorations or closet organization…
• I am also feeling the need to finally get some things put up on the walls of my home, I have lots of different ideas for lots of different rooms
• Knowing my tendency to start things and then move on to other things before finishing David has told me I need to do one room at a time and I need to start in the small bathroom on our main floor
• This is all mainly because I finished painting it oh about 3 months ago and I have yet to put picture up that I have already planned out
• So here’s the thing it’s a small half bath, a powder room really, what size pictures and frames are make the most sense?
• Here’s what they’re all being centered around, figuratively speaking

 

• I also have pictures of the blossoms these babies started at and the pie that they turn into. Plus I have a gazillion more cherry pictures
• Thoughts?
• In other news last week I took too kids to the doctor for routine stuff
• The Boy was required to have a few tests run and so needed his blood drawn, he was strongly (figuratively and literally) against it
• As I had him pinned down to me using arms and legs and having had a nice introduction into the hardness of his head I sat and wondered how much longer I was going to be able to be the one to take him to these experiences
• When I spoke about that at dinner time MT piped up and said, “You really just need to be a mom”
• Her father thought it was hilarious and can’t wait to repeat it to her in 20+ years
• I kind of think she will appreciate about as much as I did
• Also last week we went with The Boy for some pinewood derby, came in third, was really pleased with himself
• By the way the kids did finally finish cleaning up downstairs
• It took the entire week
